Beginning immediately upon the launch of Vyllij, we are donating 20%, or 1/5th, of our profits to sustainable, long-term charities. As part of our creed of humans helping humans, we do not believe in merely placing band-aids on local and global problems. At the very core of our nature we believe that the world’s most critical issues can only be solved by creating solutions that ultimately

meet long-term needs

and, over time, eliminate the need for continued charity.

Bringing thousands of gallons of clean water or hundreds of pounds of food to a village in Africa is great, but when that supply runs out both the charitable organization and the humans of the village are back at square one. An idea that is much more sustainable and concrete, for example, is to assist the humans in working with each other to develop attainable and sustainable programs and lifestyles that will reinforce strong physical, psychological, and emotional health and self-reliance over the long-term.

Likewise, charitable organizations locally need to have larger, for-profit organizations come alongside them, with the goal for the non-profit to be able to focus their dedicated energies on the service that they were first impassioned to engage in. An important distinction of redPear Foundation is that we were not created to directly do charity work, but rather as a trust fund to

enable charitable organizations

to continue their work in the most focused ways possible.

Fueling redPear Foundation directly from the profits of our for-profit branch, redPear, our trust is able to operate with zero overhead costs. Giving directly out of our abundance and existing framework allows us to do away with the need for dedicated, salaried Foundation personnel and infrastructure, therefore allowing the entire 20% to be contributed directly to sustainable charities identified by redPear humans.
